Software piracy is the unauthorized copying or distribution of copyrighted software. People should understand that purchasing a software itself also includes of purchasing the license that allows you to use it. A Software License is important because it tells the users the ownership and copyright of the software and agreement on not making duplication on the software.
Making duplication of software is an act of copyright infringement, and its illegal. Providing unauthorized access to software or to serial numbers used to register software can also be illegal.

In 2006 studies from IDC, 29 percent of the website and more the 60 percent of peer to peer software downloads sites offering pirated software that infected Trojans and Spy ware or other tools on identity theft. Software Piracy also increases the risk on Cyber crime and security problem.
